i love her so much!
i haven't posted here in forever. jasmine's growing fast. she's exactly 2 years and 4 months now. we're having a lot of fun with her b/c she'll often surprise us with a new word she's learned from watching tv at grandma's house. she knows all these songs and just sings all day long. especially that dreaded barney song. we're starting to see a lot of her personality shine through although some of it has just been pretty frustrating at times. she's really bossy when it comes to playing with other girls. but she loves listening to older, taller girls. she's also a picky eater so that makes eating at restaurants kinda difficult at times.
all in all, i just love watching her grow up. i thank God everyday for blessing us with her.

did anyone watch Celebrity Apprentice tonight? The saddest moment was when Tito Ortiz and Lennox Lewis got off the table and tipped it over while the graphic designer spilled her coffee all over her macbook pro. That made me tear for a second.
It was so sad. 8 hours of their work went down the drain b/c macbook pro died. I can feel for her b/c it happened to me once. Except, i knew what to do as soon as it happened to me and mine continued working. (but then it got stolen 2 months later).
if this ever happens to you follow these steps and you might be able to save your system:
1. force a shut down and immediately take off the battery.
2. hold the laptop upside down so the liquid won't penetrate any deeper and onto the logic board.
3. go here: http://www.ifixit.com/ and find instructions on how to remove the upper casing of your mac laptop.
4. dry all parts. if it was a sticky liquid like coke, coffee or even beer, remove and clean all the parts with electonics approved iso-propyl alcohol or something that is often sold as tape head cleaner.
5. let everything dry a couple of hours and test it out.

so what do you guys think about the new macbook air?
as most of you know... i work for the cps and we get access to a lot of cool computers. i've come to love and use a lot of apple hardware and software through the years. starting at my first job using the apple IIe and now currently running a 2.6ghz, 4gb ram macbook pro laptop. I've worked on old powermacs running os 7.5, owned and used imac dv's and powerpc g4 towers. i currently have in my office an AMD pc, powerpc g4 windtunnel, ibook g3's, ibook g4, broken powerbook g4, jasmine's imac g4, in two weeks a new mac pro dual quad core (8core) tower. i've seen it all when it comes to macs. i think this new macbook air is probably the most ridiculous hardware ever made by the company. the pricepoint at $1799 (1.6ghz) and $3089(1.8ghz) is just insane. they want $999 to upgrade to a 64gb solid state drive with less space than the standard 80gb? geez...
